I help individuals, teams, and organizations navigate emerging evidence in nutrition, the microbiota–gut–brain–immune interface, and mind-body practices. My work focuses on translating complex research into education that supports resilience and whole-person health.

A major focus of my practice is personalized educational consults. I work one-on-one with clients seeking clarity in a crowded wellness landscape, helping them understand the science relevant to their goals. These sessions are not clinical care, but tailored, evidence-informed explorations that build confidence and informed decision-making.

I serve as Executive Director and Associate Professor at an R1 University, advancing integrative, translational education in academic and clinical settings.

Beyond academia, I lead well-being strategy as Chief Well-being Officer at Good Bacteria and provide consulting to innovators and organizations. I bring a rigorous scientific lens to product development, public-facing education, and strategic guidance.

My work centers on nutritional immunology—including vitamin D, fatty acids, and postbiotic metabolites—the gut–brain–immune interface, and determinants of resilience. I prioritize turning complex science into insights that can be implemented effectively and sustainably.

Whether supporting individual clients, consulting with health professionals, or advising organizations, I help people apply cutting-edge evidence in ways that are practical, sustainable, and meaningful.
This Whole Health Wheel reflects a systems-based, integrative approach to well-being—one that places purpose at the center. Health is not simply the absence of disease, but the alignment of values, behaviors, and daily choices with what matters most.
Rather than focusing on a single intervention, this model highlights the dynamic interaction between key domains, including natural movement, nutrition, environment, prevention, social connection (support & belonging), and recharging (stress management & recovery). These elements do not operate in isolation; they work together to support resilience, longevity, and optimal function.
Surrounding these domains are the broader systems that shape health, including clinical care and the communities in which we live. This wheel serves as both a visual framework and a practical guide, helping individuals and clinicians identify where to focus, adapt, and personalize strategies for whole-person health.
